At the heart of Sangs, a wound that would not heal. That of Dimitris, a modern-day Philoctetes, whose throat bleeds ceaselessly, as he tells his friend in his letters. Through metaphor, Greek author Efthymis Filippou addresses the contemporary history of his country. Between daily-life scenes and surrealistic distortions, choreographed pieces and performances with mixed languages, the actors from Vasistas make these denouncing and repairing words their own to the dregs. Freely revisiting the principle of Greek chorus, they compose an oratorio with seven voices, where paranoid political discourse and ordinary people's daydreams commingle. A fierce and funny attack, that stimulates blood flow and repels anaemia.
