KOMM’N’ACT is a platform supporting artists early in their professional career.
It works alongside young performing artists in the development of their artistic projects, in keeping with their professional project.
We do this all year long.
Festival Parallèle is a window for more visibility.
For the artists we support as well as those, from a new generation, that we want to invite in our territory to share their work with the audience, in cooperation with valuable partners.
The programme of the Festival is international.
Parallèle is a dynamic of outlooks and takes on our complex, dark, rich, multiple, dazzling, colourful, contrasting, joyful, deep, cheerful, absolute, ancestral, new world.
Art stays clear of no topics, it twists reality in order to understand it better: a poetic transformation as a way of putting our world into perspective.
Through art, we conjure the invisible, absence, breeze, hollowness.
What am I the sum of? What connects me to other people?
Legacy, transmission, transgression, connection to the sacred, sacrifice, ritual, fantasy -
Ghost...
The programme was conceived with the will to focus on the projects of the supported artists and to name the fine thread that connects them. Putting together these messages, not so they all sound the same, but in order for them to react to each other in their wide diversity.
A new generation, indeed. Elsewhere, indeed. Different, indeed.
We would like to thank the artists who trust us, each year.
We would like to thank our partners - Les Théâtres (Gymnase, Bernardines, Jeu de Paume), le Merlan Scène nationale de Marseille, le Théâtre Joliette-Minoterie, La Garance Scène nationale de Cavaillon, le Théâtre d’Arles, le FRAC, le MuCEM, la galerie Maupetit, le centre d’animation Sénac, le Conservatoire de Région Pierre Barbizet, le cinéma les Variétés, le Vidéodrome 2, le Gyptis, le festival Circulations -
We would like to thank our financial partners, who make is possible, as we write these words, to stay the course.
And we look forward to seeing you to share our audacity with each and every one of you!
Lou Colombani,
head of KOMM’N’ACT and festival Parallèle.
