Voicing Pieces is a sound piece whose only protagonist is our own voice. Out of sight, viewers slip in a sort of black welcoming cloud. Alone in front of the text and guided by a simple script, they become both spectators and actors in this performance challenging our reference points. The act of talking and listening activates a unique theatrical and choreographic experiment, sculpted by each interpretation of the score. It is the place of action, of the show and subject to surprises. Who speaks when I speak? Doesn’t my own voice always seem strange and unauthentic? Through this distancing and disrupting process, Voicing Pieces invites you to discover and accept the stranger within yourself.
