While these repetitive, magnetic visions of rain and waves invite us to give in to pure contemplation of their beauty, the sound design as well as the configuration, amplify the power of the images. From the outside toward submarine worlds, the sounds travel with you along the gradual hypnotic immersion where impetuosity matches the sublime. THIRST by Voldemārs Johansons connects the main interests of the artist and confronts them to the strength of the elements. The installation combines his taste of intense images, his attention to sound, his fascination for sciences and nature, as well as the conception of new perceptions of the world around us.
