Paysage de la disparition

The landscape at stake here is a stretch of paper covering the whole stage. An immaculately white envelope, in which a dancer slips and disappears. Once his body has vanished, the man moves as a demiurge, giving space various shapes, sculpting his mass as well as his volume. Before us, the huge sheet comes to life and is gradually set in motion. As an expert of movement and matter, Thibaud Le Maguer designed a project both simple and fascinating, where the surface moved by dance wonderfully offers imagination room for projection and introspection. A subtle and sensitive approach which, through the disappearance of the dancing body, undoubtedly focuses on the essential: what dance is about.
