Young graduates exhibition
La Relève 7, Notre part belle
Parallèle joins forces with Vidéochroniques, art-cade* galerie des grands bains douches and the Château de Servières to show the work of visual artists at the professionalization stage.
For the 7th consecutive year, on the occasion of the Festival Parallèle 15, the partners are offering an exhibition of the selected projects.
This year's call for projects is divided into two distinct submissions:
- Call N°1: addressed to individual artists to take part in the group exhibition to be held at Château de Servières and Vidéochroniques;
- Call N°2: addressed to a collective already formed or formed for the occasion, which will take over art-cade* galerie des grands bains douches.
Thematic : Notre part belle (our beautifull part)
Terms and conditions
Both calls for projects are open to visual artists who have graduated from art school no more than 3 years ago. The work must relate to the proposed theme, and the medium is free (volume, painting, video, performance, etc.).
Call N°1 : The application must include a detailed portfolio containing a CV and a two-page maximum statement of the proposed project's intentions (with iconographic elements, technical details and a production budget).
-Call N°2: The application must include a portfolio presenting the collective and containing a CV for each of its members, as well as a 4-page maximum project brief for the Galerie des Grands Bains Douches de la Plaine, containing a presentation of the approach, the collective's internal collaboration methods, a proposed layout, iconographic elements, technical details and a production budget.
If some of the pieces have already been produced, please specify where they are located, so that we can anticipate any transport requirements.

Proposals will be examined by a jury of industry professionals, whose composition will be announced shortly.
Financial terms and conditions
-Call No. 1: Each artist will receive a €200 (inc. VAT) fee/broadcasting rights and a maximum of €300 (inc. VAT) for production costs, on presentation of supporting documents in the case of the production of a new work.
-Call N°2: A maximum of €2,000 (inc. VAT) will be awarded to the collective, including presentation rights and production costs.
Travel
Calls N°1 and N°2: Reimbursement of up to €120 (incl. tax) for selected artists living outside Marseille - on presentation of train tickets.
Accommodation
Calls N°1 and N°2: possibility of accommodation for selected artists living outside the Bouches-du-Rhône department, if required and according to conditions to be discussed together.
Calendar
- submission of project by noon on Friday, September 20, 2024 ;
- announcement of selection between October 21 and 24, 2024;
- exhibition vernissage at the end of January during the Festival Parallèle 15. Their duration will be determined by each venue.
