Through dance, Dalila Belaza is looking for an utopian territory where the intimate and the universal meet like two infinite horizons.
After a long collaboration with her sister Nacera, dedicated to the transmission and creation of body language, since 2012 she has also been leading projects alone or in collaboration with other artists from different disciplines.
In 2020, she created hiya compagnie and created the piece Au cœur, presented on the stage of the Théâtre de la Ville - Les Abbesses in Paris in September 2021 as part of the Danse Elargie competition.
Au cœur is a large-scale project that is the occasion of a rare meeting that opens up a field of research for Dalila that will be the guiding thread of her work in the years to come with the creation in 2021-2022 of the solo Figuresand then the revival in 2022-2023, with a new team, of Rive, a first version of which was presented in January 2021 at the Festival Parallèle in Marseille, commissioned by the BNM - Direction (La) Horde.
Since 2020, she has been supported by the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès as part of the Artistes dans la Cité and New Settings programmes. Invited by the SACD and the Festival d’Avignon as part of the Vive le sujet ! programme, Dalila creates انا و انت - Ana Ounti for the 2022 edition.
