What is set in motion when we start to move? The body? The mind? Both? In a both physical and mental way, Jonas Chéreau and Madeleine Fournier explore the origin of the gesture, starting from the beginning: standstill. As a myriad of thoughts and the sound flow of the musician Èlg go through them, the two dancers offer their motionlessness to everything possible. Will they be as sensitive and reactive as the mobile hanging over their heads? By their own admission, Sous-titre is an incantation, hoping to see something that would have an effect on them. Not as puppets, but as someone passing something on, like an invisible movement that has become visible.
