Compagnie Zut!

Zut! was founded in 2005 by Inês Jacques. It is a production company that was initially created to allow more fluidity in the production of her work. However it always had the wider goal of promoting the creative work of other performing artists.
With a consistent and progressive growth it has been able to acheive this signing up Zut! in the artistic context. It has produced and managed dance performances, music performances, performance-installation, video-performance, site-specific. It is widening this goal even further by creating a festival in 2010 without losing sight of its interest in "performativity".
Zut! has taken its productions to dozens of cities in Portugal, as well as China and Mozambique. It enjoys a credibility and recognition from the organizations with whom it has worked and has established itself firmly in the artistic scene of Portugal.

Zut! now supports the work of Inês Jacques, Antonio M. Cabrita, Silke Z., Ela Não E Francesa Ele Não E Espanhol ans Noisery.

Zut! is member of REDE - Association of Structures For the Contemporary Dance.

Elle n’est pas française dans une fête privée. Maracas, fumée et poupées anciennes d’un destin lointain improvisant une décoration exotique. Cocktails servis par des barmans qui défient la loi de la gravité. Bananes postmodernes se divisent, amours sanguins dans un coin. Une caravane lamente, avec douleur. Quelqu’un rigole - résiste! Une glace fond.
Il n’est pas espagnol se met contre la vitrine du salon. Après être parti, embrasse-moi le plus vite possible. Un insecte demande au tourne-disque «tu crois que je suis sexy?». Une bouteille “Tonight You Belong To Me” sert le dernier ljubimte.

Ela Não É Francesa Ele Não É Espanhol (Inês Jacques et Eduardo Raon), Travaille et revisite des thèmes jazz et pop. mélangés à un répertoire original. Le résultat n’est pas jazz, puisque cette combinaison instrumentale ne se prête pas au swing, c’est ce point qui le rend intéressant : ces thèmes, qui habituellement sont spécifiquement groove, seront restitués dans une ligne nue et exposée, marqué encore par la versatilité, la bonne humeur et le sérieux des deux musiciens?
